"Tough times never last, but tough people do."
Robert H. Schuller
What if life was perfect and we never had to face difficulties, obstacles or failures.
The fact is such lives do not exist, not even in fairy tales or Disney movies.
You see, heroes, leaders, success, achievement and progress is not built on perfection, it is built on overcoming, on the relentless understanding that shitaky happens and you have a choice, to be the person who complains and focus on everything that went wrong or everything someone did to us, or we can focuses on understanding what created this situation, to begin with, accept all that has happened, take charge, accountability, and responsibility for your life 100% and decide that this my friend, is an opportunity to grow, develop and evolve.
Shitaky is your fertilizer to success, an opportunity to learn and grow.
Next time your boss gets mad, your spouse becomes irritable, you child misbehaves, you don't say or respond in the best manner, a project does not go through, job loss, your hair does not come out as expected, someone criticizes your work or you don't feel recognize what is important to remember is that at times, we do not have control over anyone's behavior, reaction or circumstance.
So all is lost? what now? It always happens to me, why me?
What if I told you, that although you can never adjust a person, place or thing, we can always choose to adjust our way of thinking about a situation and how we respond.
We can always choose to vent for a moment dust ourselves off and learn from the lessons, think of solutions and get right back at it. These moments are an opportunity for us to become the observer and not be drawn into the moment, but instead ask ourselves, what can we learn from this and what can I do better or different.
Can you imagine what would have happened to Gandhi, Malala, Oprah, J.K. Rowland, MLK, Michael Jordan, Walt Disney, Colonel Sandor, Steve Jobs, Gloria Steinem, Albert Einstein, Cesar Chavez and so many more activist, artists, authors, scientists, and everyday people, what if they would have said, well that's the way life is.
You see wether your troubles are small or big it does not matter, the way you choose to respond, take accountability for your life 100% and create from there on will matter most.
So next time Shitaky hits the fan, give life a wink and take the opportunity to be thankful, learn, develop and evolve from there on.
Not only, if, but, in spite of, although or because, but for the simple fact that if it matters that much, then it's worth the lesson, effort, and work.
"Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t turn out – take another shot."

Do me a favor, remember to be kind to another as you see them through their challenges, for we receive what we are willing to give.
