Turn Your Frustrations Into Fuel

Hello, Hello, and happy Monday to you dear reader! <3

Frustration, who has not felt that right? I'm sure I am the only one.

As you can see from this picture, my son and I experienced some frustration on this day, thanks to the traffic on our way back home.

Was it really thanks to the traffic though? Where we frustrated on that day because we had to face traffic or because we made the choice of allowing something outside of ourselves to create frustration? Really, did traffic have that much power?

I can tell you, not really, we were actually posing for the picture.

We patiently flipped through the radio, talked about I don't know how many subjects, came up with funky things to look outside for, listened to the radio some more.

Me being angry would not have made a bit of difference on that traffic. I would have allowed it to irritate me and furthermore frustrate my son.

I was frustrated, mind you, I felt irritated, however, I did not allow it to determine how I would respond. I have learned that frustration when utilized to infuse your creativity, your ability to create progress, to open up a dialogue versus and argument, can actually work in your favor.

Anger, when utilized negatively to shame, blame, and release stress on to someone else, is just not cool.

Shame, Blame, and its relatives, are the cousins that enjoy pointing the finger, but forget that as you point one finger to another person, there are three pointing right back at you at the same time.

Shame and Blame only serve to reveal who the person is, it does nothing to define the person, place, or thing they are attempting to define.

I have been angry, and I have had those moments of the ugly cousins showdown. I can't say that I ever created, achieved, or felt healthy from the inside out in any of those moments.

So wait a minute Lety, you might be thinking, you just said that frustration can be a fuel?

Yes indeed my friend, frustration can be your best friend or your worst enemy depending on how you use the fuel.

You can use the fuel to burn everything around you, or you can utilize the fuel to gas your vision, goals, and creativity to come back even stronger and create the life you deserve.

I am going to give you some tools of the trade to help you do exactly that.

1. Super Simple, Super Easy, always choose to be kind, to Yourself.

You are not allowed to talk about how heavy you are, how dumb, how you should have could have, would have, but didn't, kindness starts with you.

We give what we have and who we are. You should be the first person you practice kindness on, take care of your body, don't allow negative thoughts, toxic people, or words into your space.

If they creep in from time to time, honor, acknowledge and release, from this moment on, they are part of life, but not part of who you are.

You deserve the same kindness you wish to receive or give to the world.

2. Exersauce, Zumba, turn the radio up loud on music you enjoy. Music is a natural mood enhancer and can be a source of fuel for your exercise routine. Your anger can release a surge of adrenaline, physical activity is an excellent vehicle that allows you to release some of that adrenaline and turn it into a toned healthy body.

3. Always, always, always, take a deep breath and count to 10 or 20. You don't want to speak out of anger or frustration. It's just not cool and you may lose out on a business or personal relationship that you would have not otherwise. Practice the ability to step back and breath.

4. If you must be angry, use the fuel to create and do better. There is nothing worse in this world than

pent-up anger that only destroys and does nothing to create results. If you are angry about your results? Change your approach in order to change your results. It really is that simple.

5. Always remember the seeds you plant today will produce what you harvest tomorrow. You plant anger and bitterness, that is exactly what you will collect, on the other hand, you plant action and progress, well you will harvest that as well and that will be the fruit of your labor.

Can you think of other ways to fuel your momentum instead of firing down your opportunities?
